potty training on a snowy day

Hey all,

Hello from snowy Lubbock, where the locals have been terrified by the media frenzy of "Prepare for the worst storm of the century!!!!! 12-16 inches!!! Store a months worth of water, canned creamed corn and emergency flares in your storm cellar!!!! Buy a shovel!!!!" The white stuff is admittedly coming down at a chipper pace, but I'll put my bets right here that we get a max of 6 inches.

The bigger news is that today Josiah decided he wants to wear underwear. We've taken a VERY relaxed potty training route, totally Josiah driven (I've wanted nothing to do with it), and after two accidents today, I calmly suggested putting on a Pull-Up, and he was absolutely horrified -"NO, I WANT UNDERWEAR!!!!!!" Okay. A snowy day when we're not doing anything is as good a day as any to go full speed ahead. (Of course, as I'm typing now, Josiah is complaining to Jim that he doesn't like this pair of underwear and wants another. . . ).

Jim is doing the dishes now right now as I plod about on the internet. AND he let me sleep in today. What a husband!!

Okay, I'll leave with a few more pictures. Mom wanted pictures of the carpet, so here are a few (on the second one, Josiah is putting a Christmas Stocking on his foot. . .):
