so we still can't find the camera. i was carrying it around shopping for furniture, so that i could remember pieces that i liked, so it may have disappeared that way. anyhow, i thought i'd still post some random old hits. we liked this one of Papa and Josiah a lot.

SO, we've moved in, still a LOT of unpacking. seems like most of my time is spent picking up after the boys and normal maintenance like washing dishes and clothes (yay for our first ever Dishwasher!) the first two nights here were spent in the cold and dark, as someone (me? the power company?) messed up on our electric order? i haven't figured out how that happened exactly, but being without power for two nights was certainly memorable. the boys absolutely loved it - flashlights, lots of stumbling through the dark - one of their favorite games even now that we have power. i think the worst of it was that micah kept waking through the night, which either had to do with the cold, or the new environment. he wouldn't tell me.

SO, are we settled yet? i suppose. i think the boys are happy; micah is FINALLY (two nights in a row!) sleeping through the night (fingers crossed for this to last longer!). i feel like there are multiple people with potential for deeper friendship and relationship - just haven't had the fullness of time to develop them. the church continues to feel like a good fit - and yet still represents a daunting amount of work. but things are off to a good start.

oh and we're getting carpet in the den. i'm sure dad will be pleased.

here's another more recent picture. micah LOVES brushing his teeth, by the way. has been known to scream with fury when i've taken his toothbrush away (is more compliant now, as long as josiah also has put his away).
